Niall Ferguson, geboren 1964, ist einer der bekanntesten und renommiertesten Historiker unserer Zeit. Er war Professor für Geschichte an der Harvard University und an der Harvard Business School und lehrte u.a. an der Oxford University, an der Stanford University und der London School of Economics and Political Science. Er ist Milbank Family Senior Fellow an der Hoover Institution der Stanford University und Fakultätsmitglied am Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs in Harvard. Er gilt als Spezialist für Finanz- und Wirtschafts- und europäische Geschichte. Ferguson ist Autor zahlreicher Bestseller, darunter »Der falsche Krieg« (DVA 1999). Zuletzt ist von ihm erschienen »Doom. Die großen Katastrophen der Vergangenheit und einige Lehren für die Zukunft« (DVA 2021).Dr. Jürgen Neubauer hat Anglistik und Germanistik studiert und war als Lektor für das Sachbuchprogramm des Campus Verlags verantwortlich.
