Über den Autor Marie Lu

Marie Lu ist eine #1-New-York-Times-Bestsellerautorin. Ihren Abschluss machte sie an der University of Southern California und wagte danach den Sprung in die Videogame-Industrie, in der sie als Designerin tätig war. Heute ist sie Vollzeitautorin und verbringt ihre Freizeit mit Lesen, Malen, Videospielen und damit, im Stau festzustecken. Sie lebt in Los Angeles, der Hauptstadt der Staus, mit ihrem Mann Primo Gallanosa, der Illustrator und ebenfalls Autor ist, und ihrem Sohn.Yola Schmitz übersetzt literarische Texte aus dem Englischen und dem Italienischen ins Deutsche. Sie hat an der LMU München Englische Literaturwissenschaft und Literarisches Übersetzen studiert und ist in Übersetzungswissenschaft promoviert. Mit jeder Übersetzung taucht sie in eine neue Welt ein - sammelt Eindrücke, Gerüche und Klänge-, um diese Welten den deutschsprachigen Leser:innen zugänglich zu machen und sie an die Oberfläche zu bringen.
