Über den Autor Sabaa Tahir

Sabaa Tahir, ehemalige Zeitungsredakteurin, wuchs im Motel ihrer Familie in der kalifornischen Mojave-Wüste auf. Dort verschlang sie Fantasyromane, hörte donnernden Indie-Rock und spielte mehr schlecht als recht Gitarre und Klavier. Sie ist die Autorin der »An Ember in the Ashes«-Reihe, die auf Platz 1 der New-York-Times-Bestsellerliste stand und in 35 Sprachen übersetzt wurde. Der erste Band wurde vom Time Magazine zu einem der 100 besten Jugendbücher aller Zeiten gekürt. Für ihren von der Presse gefeierten Roman »So viel Zorn und so viel Liebe« erhielt sie den National Book Award, den Printz Award und zahlreiche weitere Auszeichnungen.Christel Kröning studierte in Düsseldorf Literaturübersetzen. Neben Unterhaltungs- und Jugendliteratur (z. B. Juno Dawson) übersetzt sie Sachbücher, Lyrik, Essays und Erzählungen (u. a. von Virginia Woolf) aus dem Englischen ins Deutsche. Außerdem engagiert sie sich im Presseteam des Verbands der Literaturübersetzer*innen, VdÜ.Hanna Christine Fliedner überträgt Literatur aus dem Englischen und Spanischen ins Deutsche (u. a. Werke von Adam Silvera und Sara Barnard). Um ihre Begeisterung für Sprache mit noch mehr Menschen zu teilen, gibt sie außerdem Seminare rund ums Übersetzen und unterrichtet Deutsch als Fremdsprache.Christopher Bischoff, geboren 1988, studierte Linguistik und Literaturübersetzen an der Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf. Er lebt als freiberuflicher Übersetzer in Mülheim an der Ruhr.
